Instructions for use Zudena 100 (Udenafil 100 mg)
An agent for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, a selective reversible inhibitor of cyclic guanosine monophosphate specific PDE type 5. Enhances the relaxing effect of nitric oxide by inhibiting PDE-5, which is responsible for the breakdown of cyclic guanosine monophosphate in the cavernous body. There is a relaxation of the smooth muscles of the arteries, and blood flow to the tissues of the penis, which causes an erection.
Udenafil improves erection and the possibility of successful sexual intercourse. The action of the drug has an optimal duration of up to 24 hours. The effect is manifested within 30 minutes after taking the drug in the presence of sexual arousal.
Zudena 100 in healthy individuals does not cause a significant change in systolic and diastolic pressure compared with placebo in the prone and standing position (the average maximum decrease is 1.6 / 0.8 mm Hg and 0.2 / 4.6 mm Hg. Art., respectively).
Udenafil does not cause changes in color recognition (blue/green) due to its low affinity for PDE-6. Udenafil does not affect visual acuity, electroretinogram, intraocular pressure, and pupil size.
In the study of udenafil in men, there was no clinically significant effect of the drug on the quantity and concentration of sperm, motility, and morphology of spermatozoa.
Contraindications for Zudena 100 mg
Hypersensitivity, simultaneous intake of nitrates and other nitric oxide donators, simultaneous use with other types of treatment for erectile dysfunction, age over 71 years, children and adolescents (up to 18 years).
Side effects of Zudena 100
From the side of the central nervous system: infrequently – dizziness, headache, stiff neck muscles, paresthesia. From the senses: often – redness of the eyes; infrequently – blurred vision, eye pain, increased lacrimation. From the digestive system: often – dyspepsia, discomfort in the abdomen; infrequently – toothache, nausea, constipation, gastritis. From the respiratory system: often – nasal congestion; infrequently – shortness of breath, dryness of the nasal mucosa. From the side of the skin: infrequently – swelling of the face (including the eyelids), urticaria. From the musculoskeletal system: infrequently – periarthritis. Others: very often – of blood to the skin of the face; often – discomfort in the chest, a feeling of heat; infrequently – thirst, pain in the chest, abdomen, fatigue. Side effects (post-marketing studies): severe palpitations, epistaxis, tinnitus, diarrhea, allergic reactions (skin rash, erythema), prolonged erection, a feeling of general discomfort, a feeling of cold, postural dizziness, and cough.
Treatment of erectile dysfunction (including with the use of udenafil) should not be carried out for heart diseases in which sexual activity is not recommended. Patients with aortic stenosis are sensitive to the action of vasodilators (including PDE inhibitors). In the event of an erection lasting more than 4 hours (regardless of the presence of pain), patients should seek medical help. If left untreated, priapism can lead to damage to the erectile tissue and erectile dysfunction.
