Priligy tablets are a drug recommended for adult male ejaculation. Tablets appear only in patients who have been diagnosed with PE. The main active ingredient, dapoxetine, is a potent selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. Two dosages: 30 mg and 60 mg.
Priligy is an effective remedy for the treatment of premature ejaculation in men and for prolonging the duration of sexual intercourse from a leading Italian manufacturer. The use of the drug normalizes the work of sexual function in men, and the active substance (dapoxetine) normalizes the reflex function of ejaculation.
Composition
The composition of the drug includes the active ingredient dapoxetine in dosages of 30 or 60 mg (depending on the form of release) and excipients (film shell): monocrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.
Release form
Priligy is available in the form of gray, film-coated tablets that are convex on both sides. On the one hand, on each tablet, the number of active substances contained in a triangle is squeezed out, on the other hand, a cross-section in which the white content of the substance is clearly visible. Tablets are packaged in blister packs of 3 or 6 pcs.
Pharmachologic effect
The principle of action of dapoxetine on premature ejaculation is associated with the mechanism of inhibition and capture of serotonin by neurons, while the effect on receptors is enhanced. Ejaculation is a process regulated in the sympathetic nervous system: the coordinated contraction of the nerve fibers that activate the vas deferens and the prostate gland sets the ejaculatory process in motion. Dapoxetine acts directly on the ejaculatory reflex, prolonging the latent period, and reducing the firing of neurons in the perineum.
Pharmacodynamics (principle of action) of the drug
Dapoxetine Priligy is rapidly absorbed and reaches its maximum plasma concentration within one to two hours after ingestion. The consumption of food enriched with fats moderately reduces the maximum concentration of dapoxetine and the time it takes to reach the blood plasma. At the same time, there is no effect on the degree of absorption of the substance. The medicine can be taken with or without food.
Dapoxetine is excreted from the body within a short time – after a day, the maximum content in the blood plasma of the drug is less than 5-6% of the maximum (from the moment of taking the drug).
